My Recipe!

My warm crab dip is a tradition for family gatherings and expected at all holidays.  Good news is that it's really easy (as long as you have access to fresh crab).  If you're a seafood lover give it a try; it's a crowd-pleaser for sure!

Ingredients:
1 8 oz. container of handpicked crab meat
1 package of cream cheese (softened)
4 tablespoons of butter (softened)
1/4 cup of mayonnaise
1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese (1/4 cup for the dip, the rest to sprinkle on top)
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
a good splash of lemon juice
a few good shakes of salt to taste
1/4 cup of bread crumbs (to sprinkle on top)

Mix the butter, cream cheese, and mayo thoroughly and then add the crab meat. Next mix add in 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and salt. Transfer the mixture to an over sauce serving dish.  I usually use a pie plate or similar. Mix the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs and sprinkle on top.  Heat the over to 325 degrees.  Cover the dip with aluminum foil and cook covered for 15 minutes, and uncovered for another 10 or until lightly browned and bubbly throughout.  Serve warm with a sliced baguette or crackers of your choice. Enjoy!
