The holiday season is quickly approaching, and I love it! I love the music, the fun family gatherings and activities, the movies, the food, and just plain celebrating and giving thanks. This year I have some special mamas-to-be & new mamas in my life and I thought it would be fun to share to gift ideas to celebrate them and their little bundles and show them a little extra love this season.
1. Earth Mama Angel Baby Postpartum Recovery Bundle
Every new mama deserves comfort and pampering. While so many gifts focus on baby, this kit is a great gift focused on mom and her recovery. Note that Earth Mama Angel Baby offers a variety of kits including one suited for post C-section.
2. Stitch Fix Gift Card
This is an easy way to make mom feel pampered. Give her the gift of feeling fashionable without worrying about her pre-baby clothes. Let her be styled without having to leave her home, and let's face it with a new baby (especially in the winter) that's huge.
3. Personalized Necklace from Becoming Jewelry
I can't imagine any mom that wouldn't love an extra special handcrafted necklace that constantly reminds them of their most precious gift of all.
4. Lilly Jade Diaper Bag
This is definitely a bigger gift, maybe a great choice for your spouse or partner. Lily Jade gives you a high quality bag mom will have for a long time (well beyond the diaper years). They're versatile & functional yet keep mom looking stylish.
5. Honest Company Healing Balm & Organic Lip Balm Trio
The hospital is so drying on your skin, and with the combination of winter weather, mom will love these healing and moisturizing products.
6. House Cleaning Service
Seriously might be one of the best gifts I could think of. No one really wants to deep clean postpartum, and frankly no one wants to watch their friends or extended family do it for them. Give the new mom in your life a gift certificate to a reputable and (preferably green) cleaning service this season.
7. Earth Mama Angel Baby Organic Monthly Comfort Tea
Maybe your making mom a care package or maybe you stop by (planned of course) with this tea and treats on hand. Nothing like sipping a warm cup of tea to relax and decompress.
8. Happy Baby Wrap
Babywearing has always been a lifesaver for me, and I love gifting it to others. It gives you the ability to comfort & connect with your little one while also having your hands free. The Happy Wrap is a favorite of mine; it's SO incredibly soft, simple, easy to transport, and comes in some great colors.
9. Gift Certificate to the Spa (and provide your time to care for baby)
You can't go wrong with a gift certificate to a local spa and offer to watch baby when mom is ready for an outing. Every mom could use a little time to herself to recharge her batteries.
10. Wicked Good Kiltie Moccasins from LL Bean
We love LL Bean here in Maine, but I promise you these are my favorite slippers, and I think most moms would love these. They super soft and cozy, but have a great hard bottom, meaning yes, you can definitely wear them on an errand or to school drop-off (I do).
11. Take them A Meal
A meal is another meal, "can't go wrong gift." Perfect for your friend or family member, just keep in mind new-baby etiquette; drop the meal off without imposing a visit if the timing isn't right etc. You can make a meal yourself (note I always like to use disposable pans so they don't need to return anything), set up a Meal Train of similar with a group, or look into a meal delivery service (in my area I love WholeMade Meal Shares).
12. Simplified Planner by Emily Ley
With the new year approaching it's perfect timing to buy a new calendar or planner. When you start adding a baby (or multiple kiddos) into the mix, a planner is a great tool to keep organized and efficient. Most moms I know love their planners though a nice one isn't always something mom will buy herself. The Simplified Planner (especially love the daily edition) is fantastic and would make a great gift for a new mama.
13. Oat Mama Lactation Granola Bars
These bars would make a perfect stocking stuffer or addition to a goodie bag etc for a breastfeeding mom (or frankly any mom). They are jam packed with superfoods, antioxidants, and of course brewer's yeast (for milk supply), and are also free of dairy, eggs, soy, & wheat.
Do you have any new moms in your life to celebrate this season?
Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season. Thanks as always for stopping by!
